Concordia University Center for Environmental Stewardship | Mequon, WI
The Concordia Center for Environmental Stewardship, located immediately adjacent to Lake Michigan’s shores, provides a unique and unprecedented site for studying the lake shoreline and the Great Lakes watershed. The buildings programmed spaces include: display areas, aquaria for native species, research and demonstration labs, lab support spaces, classrooms, offices and an exhibit hall for larger events.
Looking beyond higher education the Center provides environmental studies programs for local school groups and other members of the community. Focusing on responsible stewardship of land, water, energy and materials, the Center has been awarded LEED Platinum Certification by the USGBC.
